So it's been over a year since I blogged. It's cool. I'm sure I'll go through phases of blogging a lot and a little.

2014 was a great and crazy year. I suppose I should give some tidbits on big things that happened. Phoenix turned 1! We had a fun party with friends and family. Mom was out here and we served soup and rolls for the guests. She was such a big help. Phoenix didn't quite get what was going on. But, he liked having friends over, new toys, and his birthday hat.

Ben and Whitney got married in August! It was such a good day. I LOVE temple marriages and weddings in general. They are so fun and so exhausting. and good food. and people. and fun decorations. some of my favorite things! We all LOVE Whitney. She is such a perfect addition to a super awesome family.

After Ben and Whitney's wedding we went to Moab! What a cool place. Utah is so neat. It was beautiful and so fun to hang out with Caleb, Jess, Mom, Dad, and Gramma Floyd. Phoenix did pretty well there. He didn't sleep very well and ended up in bed with Josh and I every night (which is okay with me, I love snuggling my boys!) and he didn't sleep well in the car... oh wait, does he ever? NO! Much too much to see on long trips!

I played lots of tennis this summer and fall and had an absolute BLAST. I have found a passion that I will have for many years to come. I have met some life long friends playing and have gotten better and better. It's so fun to work hard at something and see results. I hope I can play for another 50 years!!

In October we found out that we were expecting baby #2!! So exciting and so barfy. Hahaha
In December, we had our annual Thompson Family Christmas Party. It was so fun. Every year we do a different theme. This year it was my parent's turn to put on the party and they chose a Christmas fiesta! We had so much delicious food that I probably threw up. It was awesome.

We also had the great pleasure of visiting Ohio for Christmas! It was wonderful, as usual. I remember a few years ago that during a general conference, 3 or more apostles spoke about families and how grateful they were that their families were close and that they could meet together often and that it was one of the true joys they had in their lives. I am really starting to feel that way, too. I love being with family. I am so blessed to have wonderful family on both sides. My heart longs to be closer to all of my family that live far away.
2015 has been good to us so far as well. Although, the first couple months of it was a bit of a barf-blur....Josh and I both work in the scouting program now. He is in Boy Scouts and I am in the Cub Scouts. It's a neat program and I enjoy working with the younger boys. They are so funny and weird and naughty and sweet. It's awesome.

In February we found out we are having a GIRL!!! Haha!! I am really excited and can't wait to meet this little feisty ball of love. She is kicking and rolling around in my belly as I type this. So sweet. It's such a miracle to grow a baby, then HOLD IT and watch it grow up. Phoenix is an absolute BLAST and so so sooo naughty. Ahhh I love him so much! I think we as parents grow as much as our kiddos do throughout life. I can truly understand why the Lord wants us to marry and have children. I have never looked to the Lord and for guidance from him then I have being a spouse and a mother. Nor have I felt so much help, love, peace, and comfort from any source more than from him. I'm so grateful for that.

We just celebrated Phoenix's 2nd birthday 2 weeks ago. It was a lot of fun! We went to my parents to celebrate. I made homemade CPK pizza and it was divine if I do say so myself. I also made a cake (my first one ever to frost and decorate...and you can tell ;) and just had a nice fun family party.

Spring has come early this year. Sadly, we haven't gotten hardly any snow and I am so worried that it will be a terrible forest fire summer. But we'll see. Our raspberries are going crazy all ready. I can't wait for the first blossoms to appear. Raspberries are my favorite! Coming it at a very close 2nd is strawberries. We are planting some in our garden this year and it's a good thing we are putting a fence around the garden because Phoenix is a strawberry hound! He sneaks into the fridge and steals strawberries by the handful. I will find strawberry tops in bedroom corners, behind bathroom doors, where he has secretly wolfed them down without me knowing. Needless to say, we tape the fridge shut for the sake of my carpets and our grocery budget.
Well. Now that we are all caught up. Hopefully, I will start blogging more regularly ;)
